Grades 9-12 Religion

“Your personal prayer, your times of silent contemplation, and your participation in the Church’s liturgy, bring you closer to God and also prepare you to serve others.”
(Meeting with young people, USA, 2008) Pope Benedict XVI

All high school students:

Please remember to visit our Grade 9-12 Youth Ministry page.

Sunday night gathering fun.

All high school students in grades 9-12 (public, private and Catholic schools, and home-schooled) are welcome to participate in our Sunday night weekly gatherings from 6-8:00 PM in the Parish Center Youth Room. These gatherings usually include a simple meal, social time, and an activity based on one of the eight components of comprehensive youth ministry.

High school students are also offered opportunities for community building, prayer, service, mission trips, and diocesan and national conferences.

Click [here] to register for Flocknote, an online messaging tool, and subscribe for whatever activities interest you.

Those preparing for Confirmation:

Religion classes for high school students not attending a Catholic high school are a co-requisite for those who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  This is separate from, and in addition to, the Confirmation program.

High school Religion classes meet in small groups in private homes or parish meeting rooms two hours per week for 15 weeks. These classes begin immediately after Labor Day and continue through March, meeting twice a month. A total of 30 hours of catechesis is required. A new curriculum will be available in 2014-15.
