Annual Food Drive

Every week our parish Outreach ministry provides food for hundreds of hungry men, women and children.

For both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays we pack food baskets for 90-100 families.

How can you help? Easy. Participate in our Annual Food Drive.

Fill a bag with non-perishible food items, and drop it off at Immaculate Conception or St. Jude churches or the Parish Center any time theses buildings are open.

At this time our pantry is in desperate need of ALL food items, including the following:

  • mac & cheese
  • baked beans
  • soup
  • instant potatoes
  • rice a roni
  • fruit
  • cereal
  • pasta
For our holiday food baskets, we especially need these items:
  • potatoes
  • stuffing
  • gravy
  • cranberry
  • canned vegetables
  • rolls
  • cake mix and icing
  • pie crust and filling
  • coffee and tea
  • rolls
  • canned or fresh fruit

Thank you for helping us feed the hungry in our community. God bless you!

In North East, join us at Saint Jude Church after the 9:00 AM Mass the first Sunday of every month.

In Elkton, join us in the school cafeteria after 10:15 Mass on the following Sundays:

October 7, November 4, December 9, 2012
January 13, February 10, March 10, April 14, 2013

Need Service hours? Come early and help set up. Stay for a while and help clean up. Many hands make light work!

All are welcome!

Communication just got easier!

Our parish is now using a new communication tool, Flocknote.

Flocknote will allow parishioners to receive text messages, emails, and phone calls from our parish staff and those involved in parish ministries and activities. It was designed by Catholics for Catholic parishes, schools and organizations.

Flocknote will be our new parish registration tool (coming soon on the parish web site.)

For existing parish members, your Flocknote registration will allow us to update our information and will give you the opportunity to subscribe to any lists you like.

If you or a family member are involved in any ministry (music, religious education, liturgy, youth ministry, adult education, athletics, scouting, adult education… and more) please sign up today and stay connected to all the news and reminders you need.

It’s so simple. Here’s how to register:

  1. Click [here] to register.
  2. Enter your name and email address or phone number.
  3. Check your email or phone for a verification message and confirm your registration.
  4. Complete the registration form.
  5. Choose the lists/ministries to which you belong or would like to belong.
  6. Choose your subscription settings (Do you want to be contacted by email or text message? For phone calls only, please contact the parish office to activate that option.)
That’s it! So simple!
You can unsubscribe from any list at any time.
After your registration is complete, be sure to check your email for a confirmation message and verify your registration. That’s the final step.

Welcome to the Flock!

Now Available: Lighthouse Catholic Media!

Now Available at Immaculate Conception Parish and St. Jude’s Mission: Lighthouse Catholic Media!

Lighthouse Catholic Media offers a power-packed selection of some of the most well-respected Catholic speakers. For a small donation, you can bring these dynamic Catholic speakers into your home, car, or wherever you want to learn more about the Catholic faith. Grab one to share with a friend, relative, neighbor, or co-worker–these CD’s make evangelization a snap! Also available are pamphlets and books, each of which will help you to know and live your faith more effectively. These resources are perfect for people who are on the run, busy at home raising a family, or simply unable to make other adult education events (though we hope you consider attending these as well)!

Soon you will see a display on your way into church (at the chapel entrance at ICC) that will offer nine different CDs, three different brochures, and seven books. These feature some of the most inspiring Catholic speakers. These resources will be available for purchase after all Masses. We ask for a donation of $3.00 per CD, and $.50 per brochure so that we may continue this program. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity!

Click here to see a list and descriptions of the CD’s that will be available, and watch the video below to learn more about this exciting resource! Finally, please pray that God opens our minds and hearts to receive even more fully the wondrous gifts of our faith, and that these resources may draw many new people to Jesus, his Church, and our parish.
