Baptism

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church’s way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.

Preparation classes are held for the parents of children from birth to age 7. Children over the age of 7 as well as adults are prepared through the RCIA program.

Baptism Classes are held from 7 to 8:30pm in the Parish Center. The following are the class dates for 2016-2017:

July 18, 2016; August 15, 2016; September 19, 2016; January 9, 2017; March 20, 2017; May 15, 2017; August 21, 2017

Requirements for a Godparent:

There are two options for the Celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism:

At St. Jude Church on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 10:30am.

Note: No Baptisms are celebrated during the Season of Lent.
